From now on, pregnant women in Geldrop can give birth in a new maternity suite at the St. Anna Hospital. A woman can give birth in a homely atmosphere there, under the guidance of her own midwife. Necessary extra care can be provided at the same spot, because specialist help is nearby.
The suite is part of the new maternity centre that will open in September. A total of five maternity suites are being built. From the end of July, the first women can already go to there.
In the maternity centre midwives, gynecologists, pediatricians, nurses and ‘kraamverzorgers’ (maternity carers) will work together in order to provide mother and child with the best possible care.
