Philips received a big order for patient monitoring systems from Elkerliek Hospital in Helmond. These systems will enable doctors to monitor the status of their patients at any given place.
The system will monitor all vital functions such as heart beat, body temperature and blood pressure. Furthermore, all past medical data will be saved. Easy access to this information can be vital, should a patient’s condition deteriorate rapidly.
The following departments in Elkerliek hospital will be receiving the patient monitoring systems: Coronary Care, Cardiology, Emergency Care, all the Operating Theatres and Intensive Care.
