Yesterday, a heath fire started near Oirschot. It was extinguished by the fire department within thirty minutes.
Since it was in an area close to the motorway A58, one lane was closed temporarily. Also, a petrol station nearby was closed for security reasons.
About 1.5 hectare of heath has been destroyed, according to the fire department, Omroep Brabant says. A cloud of smoke was visible miles around.
