The painted houses in Woensel-West can be seen for another two weeks. After that, the three streets with over thirty houses around the Edisonstraat will be prepared for demolition.
The initiative to decorate the demolition objects with art, comes from artist’s collective ‘Tante Netty’ (Aunt Netty). The artists decided to decorate the empty houses to keep the neighborhood liveable for the remaining residents.
Housing corporation Trudo is going to demolish the working-class neighborhood in order to build new houses.
