Every Eindhoven household should have its own paper recycling bin, CDA (Christian-democratic People’s Party) writes in a letter to Mayor and Aldermen.
The opposition party says that residents find the streets are often littered on collection days. Wind and rain often scatter paper across the neighbourhood; then it never gets collected.
The so-called ‘blue box’, in addition to the green and the grey containers, should bring a solution, writes CDA.
A test with these blue boxes has been conducted in the Gestel neighbourhood of Bennekel. CDA is wondering what the test results are and if boxes can be introduced in the rest of the city.
