The Corporate Social Responsibility 040 dinner (MO040 dinner) took place on 19 November in Eindhoven.
Unexpected and special discussions ensued between the companies from Eindhoven and the social work-related groups. People from these groups normally would not come across each other in daily life. This 14th edition of the dinner was dedicated to ‘Effective organisation and management’. The MO040 dinner is not about money, but about solving concrete issues with time, knowledge and experience.
New theme
Research by the local volunteer group, Eindhoven Doet, clearly showed that there is great demand for strengthening local foundations at organisational and administrative level. This area is not always within the purview of the volunteers involved. The MO040 dinner fulfills this need by bringing the partners involved to the table.
The compliment of the evening went to Kids + and De Bijenkorf, who were both present for the first time. The two groups have shown the courage to ask questions and show a different side of their organisations. De Bijenkorf will help Kids + to profile and position itself in Woensel West for the long term. Kids + focuses on children from the most vulnerable families and organises various activities to guide and support them towards independence.
The second compliment of the evening went to a group of ten professionals from the business community. For nine months, they will coach ten charities as community coaches and board members. They will assist these charities in their growth and help them develop, and reach their goals. Samen voor Eindhoven (Together for Eindhoven) will kick-off of this project on 24 January 2019
Matching up
A digital match was made possible prior to the dinner via an online volunteer calendar. There were almost 25 matches made in advance, so that these parties were directly in discussion with each other at the start of the dinner. Partners looked to find a match after the dinner.
The MO040dinner is an initiative of the Eindhoven Municipality, DLL, NXP, and Holland Casino in collaboration with Samen for Eindhoven. Together with various other companies from the Eindhoven region, they are united in Impact040. This partnership gives corporate social responsibility a more sustainable and continuous character while helping it be less dependent on individuals. They also safeguard and increase the social impact. Impact040 members dedicate themselves selflessly for the city and its inhabitants.

Stories
The Eindhoven networking event took place for the second time in the Stories restaurant in Strijp-S. Stories works exclusively with local products and offers people who find themselves at a distance from the labour market a chance to get used to it without preconception. This restaurant also provides them with the opportunity to learn and to make their goals a reality. With tailor-made training, Stories offers theoretical knowledge, aided with internships aimed at finding a real, paid job.
