At the National Debating Championships, the team from Huygens Lyceum in Eindhoven ended in 14th position.
In total, nearly 80 schools participated, spread over two preliminary rounds. The top ten per preliminary round will continue on to the final. So, the Huygens Lyceum team did not qualify.
The theme of this year’s debate is, among other things, LGBT emancipation, alcohol excise duties, and the introduction of compulsory voting. The final takes place at the University of Utrecht in late January.
