Police have found a whole weapons arsenal in the home of a ‘confused’ man. The police went to take a look there after the man was arrested in the shopping mall Kastelenplein where he was carrying a fake weapon on him.
A witness had seen the man walking in the mall, with a ‘weapon’ in his waistband. In a plastic bag further on he had, amongst other things, a cartridge holder and a knife.
Police agents then went to the man’s house in Cavalilaan and there they found many more weapons. Included were handguns, a rifle, crossbow, a taser, a blackjack, knives, axes and brass knuckles and pepper spray. In addition, the man had heavy fireworks at home.
Police suspect that there were shots fired out of the house, where traces were found. The man was admitted to a psychiatric institution after his arrest.
