ASML predicts robust sales growth in current quarter

Chip manufacturer ASML expects solid growth in the current quarter, predicting sales revenue of €1,7billion.

CEO Peter Wennink said that last quarter’s results were also as expected. The current quarter’s predictions are based primarily on an increasing demand for accounting chip manufacturers. This trend is expected to continue into the second half of the year, although the full extent cannot yet be predicted, Wennink says.

Recent customer orders totalled some €835million, considerably less than the €1,2billion of orders that could be added in the fourth quarter.
