Philips makes considerably more profit

Philips saw its profit increase considerably in the second quarter. Quarterly figures reveal that net profit tripled to 317 million euros compared to 102 million in the same period last year.

Sales rose too, increasing by three per cent to 5.7 billion euros. This growth is mainly due to growth markets, such as China.Considerably more lifestyle products, such as coffee makers and food processors, were sold worldwide. And the sale of LED lights rose by 28 per cent.
