A Kenyan, Laban Mutai, has won the 36th Eindhoven Marathon. He completed the 42 kilometres in 2 hours 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
A Kenyan has also won with the women’s race. With a time of 2 hours, 28 minutes and 43 seconds, Betty Chepleting finished ahead of her competitors.
Three thousand people appeared for the start of the 42 km race, including the Dutchman Bjorn Koreman. He made his debut and ran the marathon in a time of 2 hours 17 minutes and 26 seconds.
In addition to the main 42 km marathon, runners competed in other distances. There is also a Half Marathon race. And in addition to that, a Mini Marathon in which round 3000 children participated.
