You can now listen to the Studio040 jazz programme, The Jazztrain, as a podcast. The media outlet hopes to make its programme more accessible to more jazz music lovers. The launch of the podcast series coincides with the NPO’s National Podcast Week.

The Jazztrain is now available in two versions – The Jazztrain Classic and The Jazztrain Modern. Both podcasts can be played on phones and tablets with Android or Apple iOS. This is possible with all podcast apps such as iTunes, Spotify, and TuneIn. The programme directors, Willem Weijts, Rob van Alberda, and Willem Ligtvoet want all subgenres and periods of jazz music to be covered as well as possible. Listeners can subscribe to the version that appeals the most to them.

The benefits of subscribing to the episodes are explained on The Jazztrain’s programme page. Here you can always play the latest episode of both versions directly.
