New scanners will reduce queues for passengers going through security at Eindhoven Airport.
The airport will replace its current x-ray equipment with CT scanners that can produce detailed 3D images showing the contents of hand luggage.
Passengers will no longer be required to unpack their bags, and the new machines will also reduce the need for plastic bags handed out by airport staff for liquids.
All the scanners will be replaced this year, and are expected to be operational in late December.
