Neos has taken care of Barbara, the homeless woman. She had been living on the street in Woensel West for a while.
The best part is, she is allowed to keep her dogs with her. This is not actually allowed at the homeless shelter. “But this is an exception,” a spokesperson told Omroep Brabant. Neos is a regional organisation for, among other things, assisted and protected living.
The 61-year-old woman had been camping on a bench on Groenewoudseweg after she had been evicted from her home. Her house was contaminated. She did not want to go to the shelter assigned to her because she would not be able to keep her dogs.
Neos has now found a suitable solution.
