Residents with a form of dementia in Vitalis Peppelrode in Eindhoven can recall memories with specially built ‘corners’, such as an old-fashioned kitchen or garden with freshly washed laundry.
The specially equipped corners are in the Psychogeriatric department and are important to give people with dementia a familiar and safe feeling. Such an experience can give comfort, peace, joy and recognition. A great way to be active together with family or healthcare, to reminisce and to make contact.
