Rabobank invests a billion in the Brainport region

Rabobank provides 1 billion euros available for businesses in the high-tech region of Eindhoven. The ED reports this.

The budget is intended for the financing of companies over the next three years. € 100 million is specifically intended for start-ups and innovative companies that want to grow further. It concerns loans and the provision of capital. “We are sticking our neck out with these ambitions. The bank will act as a co-entrepreneur in this region, “says Marc Cootjans in the newspaper.

For many starting companies in the region it is difficult to raise enough budget. Rabobank therefore creates two funds. In addition, the bank wants to set up a fund for companies that have growth ambitions. Fifty to a hundred companies could be helped with the sums of money.

The normal interest rates apply to the loans that Rabobank will provide. Companies in various sectors can claim this. For example, organizations may be active in the tech sector, but also in the healthcare or agricultural sectors.

Rabobank is already involved in all kinds of promising tech companies in the region, such as Lightyear and Additive Industries.
