Pegida’s demonstration in Eindhoven was interrupted on Sunday evening before the end. Police could no longer guarantee the safety for the demonstrators, those involved, and those living nearby.
Counter-protesters threw glass, stones, eggs, and other objects at the Pediga demonstrators and the police. The mobile unit then carried out a few arrests. The Pediga demonstrators did not reach their endpoint, the parking lot at the mosque. The intention was to demonstrate until 21:30.
The police dispersed several groups, such as the rioters against Muslims who wanted to keep the peace. Cars and houses are damaged.
The Pediga demonstrators were put on a bus and escorted by police to another location.
