A zigzag road marking will soon be added to the Floralaan at the Cantharellenlaan intersection.
The municipality decided to add the marking in response to pressure from the PvdA and Ouderen Appel following a fatal accident at the intersection in September 2018.
The two parties had called for the installation of traffic lights, which municipal authorities ruled out.
Police investigations showed that traffic incidents occurred primarily as a result of motorists failing to give way. The new marking has been approved as a compromise.
