No longer a biennial, but now every year: the STRP Festival. A festival where art, technology and a kind of futuristic pop culture come together. This year’s overarching theme is “critical optimism.”

This is reflected in many different installations. For example, artist Teun Vonk started working on the question to what extent we humans are still in contact with our bodies. In the work A Sense Of Gravity, the visitor experiences a lack of gravity and what effect that has on the body.

The Japanese artist Aki Inomata investigates the question of what is ‘natural’. She made 3d-printed shells for hermit crabs and let the animals choose between plastic and organic material.

The STRP festival can be visited in the Klokgebouw until next Sunday.
