Ryanair has to pay compensation to eight pilots due to the closure of the base in Eindhoven.

This involves a few hundred thousand per person. The judge accepted the pilots’ claim that they were unnecessarily duped by the Irish budget company.

The pilots stated, among other things, that their income would decrease if they were forced to work at another airline. According to them, they end up again at the bottom of the ladder in terms of function and reward.

The contracts of the pilots will be dissolved on 1 May. They are now working somewhere else. A ninth complainant dropped out earlier because he had found a new job.

Profession
Ryanair can still appeal the judgment. The low-cost airline insists that there were business reasons for the departure from Eindhoven.
