Huge eggs in the city centre

Have you noticed the massive eggs in Eindhoven’s city centre? From yesterday (Sunday, 14 April), 30 oversized fabricated eggs have been on display. These can be seen, scattered all over the city centre, until 26 April.

This exhibition is an initiative of the Staat op Straat (Standing on the Street) Foundation, in collaboration with local shop owners. Thirty different artists created these eggs. “We were looking for a good mix of well-known as well as regional artists,” says this Foundation’s Marton Wolterink.

“This is a selection of artists stemming from a direct collaboration with CKE and the Kollektief Eindhovense Kunsten (Eindhoven Art Collective), ” he explained. The organisation hopes this event will grow into a spring tradition that will have national, or even international, allure.
