The 13th European ITS Congress will be held in the Evoluon and at Helmond’s Automotive Campus in June, offering visitors a sneak peek at the future of mobility.

The conference, Europe’s largest in the smart mobility sector, will focus on 7 themes – the battle for fresh air, connected, cooperative, and autonomous mobility, deploying new mobility services, the efficiency of freight transport, opportunities in digital infrastructure, managing transport networks, and the workforce of the future.

The conference will start on 2 June with a Public Day at the Automotive Campus. Visitors can observe flying cars, electric racing cars, e-bikes, e-scooters, and virtual reality games, and learn more about autonomous driving, shared cars, electric cars, and smart traffic lights.

Live demonstrations will include vehicles with driving task assistance systems, semi-automatic and fully-automated vehicles, and systems that connect vehicles with roadside equipment. Visitors will also be invited to try out new technology.

Sessions on 4, 5, and 6 June will focus on three business themes: smart cities, integrated mobility, and automation. This year’s conference will also offer a networking opportunity called a Startup Zone, where startups can connect with companies and investors in mobility, logistics, and smart cities.

The Dutch edition of the ITS Congress will also include a new element called ‘Your Future Festival’, a networking event aimed at students and young professionals. Main sponsor HERE will also hold a hackathon.
