ASML wants to bring together all its employees on one large site at the De Run Business Park in Veldhoven.

A company spokeswoman has confirmed this. The chip machine manufacturer wants to close its offices in the Flight Forum and High Tech Campus in 2021. It wants an ASML stronghold to be built near its office in Veldhoven. At the moment, a new logistics building is already being built at the back of the giant chip machine manufacturer site.

16,000 office workers

In total, about 16,000 office workers must be housed under one roof at ASML in De Run. Of these, 12,000 will be located behind the Máxima Medical Centre. The rest will get office space at De Run 1000. There is ASML’s oldest branch. That building will be torn down and a new building will be constructed.

Bus lane

Despite the fact that both locations are about two kilometres apart, only ‘one site’ is mentioned. The two places will be connected via a separate bus lane, to be used by a shuttle bus. According to the media, that service should be so fast and frequent that employees actually feel that they are on one site.

The ASML Real Estate Director is busy with the coordination of the large-scale plans: “We are hiring separate architectural firms”. The shape and atmosphere of all the buildings must match each other.
