We won’t mention PSV. Ice hockey news was not good either. Eindhoven’s ice hockey team Kemphanen will have to make-do without its captain.
Kemphanen’s captain Lucca Kluijtmans was suspended for six matches. This decision was made by the disciplinary committee of the Dutch Ice Hockey Association. Eindhovens Dagblad reported the bad news.
On 19 October, Kluijtmans committed a serious offence during a game against the Panters, of Zoetermeer. He dealt a “low check” which may seriously injure another player. An ice hockey player receiving a “low check” may suffer grave knee injuries.
During the past nine games, Kemphanen’s captain scored two goals. Kluijtmans will now miss six games, including the home-game against Zoetermeer Panters, scheduled for January 5th 2019.
