Supermarket chain Jumbo is going to test the first fully electric truck developed jointly by DAF and VDL.

The truck is now being tested in practice for the first time. The range is about one hundred kilometers. This should be sufficient to supply eighty supermarkets within a radius of fifty kilometers around the distribution center. The distribution center in Veghel has received a charging station especially for this purpose.

DAF has provided the cabin and the chassis of the car for the electric truck. The electric motor and the batteries are provided by VDL.
