Eindhoven News has been covering local news since 2009. Since then, a lot has changed on our website. We would like to discuss some of the undergoing and upcoming changes to Eindhoven News to improve your experience.
Today we launched the first phase of our new website, focusing mostly on the technical aspect of the website, such as loading times and accessibility. There are some visual changes too, and we will experiment on those in the upcoming weeks to see how they are received by our visitors. Eindhoven News is run by volunteers and is a non-profit foundation. We are committed to this, and are currently in the process of revamping our internal processes and foundation by adding new board members and professionalizing our way of working. We are always on the look-out for new volunteers – if you are interested, please see our open vacancies.
We would also like to express our gratitude to our readers: without you this website would have never existed. We will celebrate our 10th birthday in 2019, and we would like to celebrate this with you. We’ll have more information about our birthday available soon.
