Soil remediation starts ahead of Strijp-S construction projects

Soil remediation work will be carried out in central Strijp-S over the next few months.

The work is required before construction can begin on the Haasje Over bridge and Trudo Tower projects. Currently, the soil is polluted due to activity from former Philips plants located in the area.

After replacing the soil, construction company Stam en de Koning will begin work on Haasje Over and the 70m Trudo Tower by the end of the year. Owner corporation Sint Trudo said the work will lead to some noise pollution for local residents.

The bridge will include 50 homes, while the towers will comprise 134 loft apartments.
