The body of a woman who went missing while free diving at Strandbad Nuenen, may have been located.
A spokesperson told journalists, the place of the body may have been found. Divers were told to enter the water at a specific spot. The team of divers is from outside Eindhoven region.
As mentioned earlier, a woman went missing Sunday evening, while free diving at Laco Strandbad Nuenen. A search was started by divers and the fire brigade, but without success. The emergency services were forced to stop searching when it became too dark.
Early morning, they resumed their search. A sonar boat was also used to try locate the woman.By then, the emergency services assumed they were searching for a body.
The manager of the bar is shocked. “A more shocking event than this, is difficult to imagine. We have been here since 1974 and never experienced such an accident before”, says Bert Lavrijsen. The employees of the café know the woman well. She regularly visited to dive and loved underwater photography.
