Mark van Bommel: 'We want to win everything'

At the training camp in Verbier, fresh head coach Mark van Bommel gives a glimpse into his style as coach of PSV.

He is scharp, driven and expects the same from his players.

Van Bommel cannot yet say how things are going with the team. “We have not trained much yet. It’s not going fast enough for me. ” A first point of measurement will be the Johan Cruijffschaal, on August 4 against Feyenoord. Although Van Bommel prefers not to think in measurement points or peak moments: ‘There are no peak moments, we have to play good football all season.’

For the selection it is in any case clear that there is another trainer in front of them, says Daniel Schwaab. ‘There is a lot of fire in the training sessions, we always have to be sharp.’

PSV will play a practice match against Galatasaray today. Afterwards, Mark van Bommel’s team returns to Eindhoven.
