In the Eindhoven region, buses will not be running or will be running irregularly on Wednesday. This is reported by bus company Hermes in response to the announced strike.
Many bus drivers are laying down work tomorrow, because the negotiations between employers and trade unions about a new collective labor agreement has failed. Earlier this year, there were already several strikes, because the employers did not follow the demands of the unions. They want 3.5 percent more salary and a lower workload.
Hermes says to try to have as many buses as possible running on time in the Eindhoven region. In a previous strike, it turned out that thirty percent of the drivers were willing to drive.
