ASML’s turnover and profit have increased in the first three months of this year.
Their turnover came to EUR2.3 billion. This is EUR400,000 million more than in the same period last year. Their profit also increased. The Veldhoven chip machine manufacturer has benefitted from the growing demand for chips for smartphones and other digital devices.
There are high expectations for the new EUV machines. These machines can manufacture chips that can make computers run even faster. The EUV machines cost about EUR100,000 each. ASML has already delivered one of these machines this year but that number should increase to 20 in 2018.
