A real Mierlo tradition: its parish priest will bless old mopeds near the village church, this Sunday.
After Sunday’s Mass, mopeds of Oldtimer Bromfietsclub ‘Op ons gemekske‘ and Mierlo’s ‘Meuterclub‘, as well as their owners, will be blessed. The blessing of vintage mopeds is held on the square near the St. Lucia Church.
This ceremony always takes place at the start of the moped clubs’ touring season. This year is the thirteenth time in a row.
People interested in watching this tradition on Sunday 4th of March are welcome. Non-members who own vintage mopeds are welcome too.
After the special ceremony, club members will start their first tour through the region. This tour will take place each first Sunday of the month, till the start of Winter.
