ANWB: third of cyclists in Eindhoven feel unsafe

A third of the Eindhoven ANWB-members feel unsafe on the bike, according to the association for motorists.

Lately, many cyclists were involved in accidents, among others on the Jasonstraat in Woensel and in fatal accidents on the Limburglaan and Bilderdijklaan.

The research among Eindhoven ANWB-members delivers even more eye-catching results. Almost 80% understands the set up of an environmental zone, which has little support in the City Council and from the parties. The respondents believe that this can help to improve air quality, like electric driving.

About a third of the respondents appear to be dissatisfied with the accessibility of Eindhoven by car.

Over 22,000 members participated in the national study, of whom almost 1100 from Eindhoven.
