The new ‘Silent Film Festival’ started in Eindhoven today (Friday).
Five silent movies compilations from the 1910’s and 20’s will be screened on 12, 13 and 14 January. The movies have no soundtrack but will be accompanied by a ‘live score’ by professional ‘silent film musicians’. There will be a viewing of longer and shorter movies from a range of genres.
Saturday and Sunday will also see lectures about the silent movie and the tradition of live musical accompaniment. The festival takes place in Pand P in Leenderweg.
