Dozens of dogs enjoyed a real Christmas dinner at the Markt in Eindhoven.
There was no question of table manners and after some time the neatly laid tables looked like a battlefield, but many four-legged friends clearly enjoyed their dinner at the Markt. The owners of the dogs also enjoyed the fun.
The dinner was very serious: Tender chicken ragout with vegetables in a pastry as appetizer and a main dish of bacon-rolled haricots verts with pommes duchesse.
The Christmas dinner for the dogs is an initiative of the Dierenziekenhuis (animal hospital) Eindhoven. According to the hospital, the dogs are often left out during the dinner of the owners and therefore the four-legged friends could also enjoy a luxurious Christmas dinner.
On Sunday 17 December you can sit on the table again, lick your plate clean and slurp! At least if you are a dog. The Christmas Dinner for Dogs is at the skating rink on the Markt of Eindhoven for the first time. Reserve a seat at the table at this link.
