‘Parking around the corner’. This is now possible since the parking garage Om De Hoek (Around The Corner) was opened at Strijp S yesterday.
Thursday saw the official opening of what arguably is the first real Eindhoven parking garage. It was developed by Mobility S., the mobility company VolkerWessels, and the city of Eindhoven. Alderman Visscher was there to officialy cut the ribbon and open the garage.
More importantly, it means extra parking space. The top four levels are for public use, the lower levels are reserved for local residents.
To promote electrical cars the garage has been equipped with two loading docks which can serve four cars simultaneously.
Early next year solar panels will be placed on the roof.
