Eindhoven councillor for Design & Culture Mary-Ann Schreurs launched the Year of Design weekend at the Philips Museum on Saturday.
Hosted by the Philips Museum and Kazerne restaurant and gallery, the event programme included lectures, design presentations, and exhibitions of old and new design.
Lectures were given by Sean Carney of Philips Design, Tet Reuver of the Design Academy, and Hans Robertus, former director of Philips Design.
2017 is tipped to be the Year of Design, starting in Eindhoven. The theme is ‘Mondriaan to Dutch Design’.
