In the first half of 2016 the number of incidents in and around the COA (central refugee organization) location Eindhoven remained the same compared to 2015. But more reports were registered.
In the first six months of 2016 there were 28 incidents reported around the Eindhoven COA location at the Castilielaan. Throughout 2015 this number was 59. The number of thefts and disappearances of goods seem to have increased, but the variety of incidents on the other hand has decreased.
In addition to the thefts, there were some fights, insults en light assaults. It is striking that in 2015 there were only nineteen crimes reported, while that number has already reached thirteen halfway through the year, despite the stabilization of the number of reports.
According to Mayor Jorritsma, the incidents at the refugee centre Orangerie did not result in an excessive workload for the police.
