The Glaspoortmonument (Glass Gate Monument) has found its home at Strijp S. The monument was placed there today.
The Glaspoortmonument was made to commemorate all the employees of Philips, who entered through that gate. The initiative for the design of the monument came from the Henri van Abbestichting, which felt that the current users of Strijp-S had too little idea of the rich Philips history which is bound up in the site.
The Glaspoortmonument will be officially unveiled on Saturday 22 October.
