On the A2 a big traffic jam developed after a small excavator fell off a trailer this morning. The machine blocked all carriage ways heading for Maastricht. Traffic had to drive on the emergency lane.
The traffic jam started at 7:45 hrs this morning and was about 6 km long.
Removing the excavator took a large part of the morning and the asphalt has been damaged and must be repaired. How the accident happened is not clear.
