Foodstock festival was a great success. The Eindhoven festival which was dominated by food, drink and music attracted around 20,000 visitors this weekend.
There were 35 food trucks in all shapes and sizes. From Surinam to Indian, Oriental and Italian food. For everyone there was something to taste. And there was a variety of music as well. On the Ensuite stage DJ’s Eelke Kleijn and Victor Gabriel performed. At the Effenaar stage performances were given by Joris Linssen with his Caramba.
Promoter Ton Smeets has a very satisfied feeling about the weekend. He said, "It was amazing. The atmosphere was relaxed, everyone was welcome. The bands were good and I have received a lot of positive reactions. "
For the first time visitors were able to participate in the Food Tour. With a ticket you could get six little tasty munchies and two drinks at any of the participating food trucks.
Next week, the festival will be held in Sittard. Next year Smeets wants to bring it back to Eindhoven in the summer.
