The VPRO Medialab at strijpS will receive almost half a million euros in funding from cultuurfonds (Culture Foundation) Brabant C. The coming three years, ‘het cultuurfonds’ will invest 495,000 euros in het VPRO Medialab. VPRO Medialab and het cultuurfonds have signed a collaboration agreement.
The funding will assist the Medialab with research into the future of media, as well as a matching expenditure and business plan to meet their mission. VPRO Medialab will work together with designers, inventors, artists and media experts, in order to develop new media.
VRPRO Medialab has been located at StrijpS since last year and according to Brabant C has already established that their research into the future of media is very relevant and worthwhile.
