María José Montero Vázquez organised a stall for “Stichting Bootvluchteling” (refugee foundation) at the International Festival on June 12, 2016
At the stall there will be unique pieces of art, paintings, anti-radiation cases for mobiles, music in vinyl and CD, luxury tablecloths, fresh and spectacular vegan cakes for sale and much more.
Several artists have donated these hand-made items to raise money for the foundation. Some of the artists are, among others, the famous Spanish artist/designer Nacho Carbonell, EMSafe (mobile cases), el Tubo Elástico (Vinyl and CD), Gertjan Herder (wood artist), Oja (Italian painter/designer) and Ellisabeth Pico (young Spanish architect).
María herself is from Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, Spain and has lived with her family in Eindhoven for 3 years. She came here for better job opportunities and to have an international experience. She will participate on behalf of Bootvluchteling foundation. "I am surrounded by great friends with talent who want to help and donate too. The nice thing about Bootvluchteling foundation is that they give special attention to children and women refugees"
Stichting Bootvluchteling is active in Lesvos, Samos, Leros and Athens and Idomeni (Thessaloniki). In Lesvos, next to the general support mission, they have a rescue and medical team.
