A new apprenticeship centre aimed at teenagers with learning disabilities has opened at the Ekkersrijt industrial park.
The Arbeids Transitie Centrum (Employment Transition Centre/ATC) will help current students and alumni from special education institutions learn everyday life skills, with training in social skills and job-seeking guidance. The teens will also have a chance to take company courses.
Students demonstrated their skills for local companies at today’s opening. The new centre is part of Stichting Speciaal Onderwijs (Special Education Foundation) and the Taalbrug in Eindhoven.
