Police detained a man from Geldrop today in connection with an armed robbery at the Jumbo supermarket on Geldropseweg.
The suspect, a 23-year-old employee of the supermarket, was arrested at his home in Geldrop. A second suspect from Eindhoven, aged 24, was arrested on Monday.
On December 28, 2011, three men entered the Jumbo store and threatened a cashier with a firearm. The cashier was forced to empty the vault and the assailants left with tens of thousands of euros.
Police are still looking for other suspects in the case.
