On June 12, 2016 the International Boulevard (Vestdijk) in Eindhoven will be opened in a festive way with 3 events taking place on the same grounds: The International Festival with market stalls outside and a stage inside the Hub, the ‘i am not a Tourist’ Expat Fair and the Expat Spouses Career Event inside the old VDMA building.
International Festival
The International Festival will be an explosion of colour. You can find stalls outside offering food, drinks, hand-made products, art, paintings and jewellery, combined with live music and representations from different nationalities. Inside the Hub you can view various performances on stage or take part in interesting workshops.
Of course children are not forgotten, there is a special area for them as well.
This part kicks off at 12:00h with a colourful musical street parade with international people dressed in traditional costumes. The parade will be led by a Dutch music band. The market square (Markt) at the statue of Frits Philips, icon of the city of Eindhoven, is the meeting point at 12:00h on June 12. The street parade will tour the International Boulevard (Vestdijk). The International Festival ends at 21:00h on Sunday.

I am not a Tourist
The ‘i am not a Tourist’ Expat Fair, takes place inside the old VDMA building from 10:00h to 17:00h and in this area you will be able to find organizations, institutions and companies showing and explaining their services for internationals. Topics include housing, employment, banking, taxes and schooling for example. All running alongside an entertaining program of performances and workshops. Here you can benefit also from the networking element.

Expat Spouse Career Event
The Expat Spouse Career Event also takes place inside the old VDMA building from 10:00h to 17:00h and is designed to help expats and internationals to step outside of their confines and get a grip on the obstacles that challenge their professional integration.
This event will address these professional obstacles, which includes building a professional network, developing leads, mentoring, education opportunities, job applications and succeeding as an entrepreneur.
You can take part in workshops and discussions which encourage real integration. You will be inspired by guest speakers and successful international experts and you have the opportunity to network.

The entrance to all of the events is free but please note that you need to get free pre-registration tickets on line for the ‘i am not a tourist" Expat Fair, at the door you have to pay € 5,00.
