A total of 12,000 Euros has been donated for the Eindhovense Krachtbedrijf (Power Business). The project aims to help vulnerable women to set up their own businesses.
The money was collected during the national Area Day of Zonta, a women’s non-profit organisation. The club met in De Kazerne in Eindhoven, to talk about women’s emancipation. Minister of Defence Hennis opened the meeting.
A good cause is chosen for the annual Zonta day each year. This year, that was the Krachtbedrijf, which is a project which assists women who have landed in a care situation and supports them in setting up their own businesses. This increases their self-confidence and helps them achieve financial independence. The project was set up by Josette Dijkhuizen, from Eindhoven.
