Man held over suspicious package at Eindhoven Airport

A man carrying a suspicious package in his hand luggage was apprehended at Eindhoven Airport yesterday.

This information was released by the Public Prosecutor’s Department.

The package contained an item normally used in the auto industry. Resembling a bomb, it consisted of a small box with batteries fastened to it with adhesive tape. The suspect paid a large fine before being released.

No flights were affected by the incident.
