Eindhoven Airport can handle summer crowds

Eindhoven Airport is working overtime during the busiest time of the year. Every day about 14,000 passengers pass through the airport on their way to their holiday destinations.

The airport has employed additional staff to make sure things run smoothly. Nevertheless, the queues are much longer than usual.

In spite of this, the atmosphere is pleasant and most people are positive. The travellers are eager to leave. They look forward to visiting relatives, a few go on a business trip, but most of them are longing for the sunshine.

How the crowds compare to previous years it is not clear yet, but earlier there were reports that a quarter of the Dutch people cannot afford to go on holiday and is expected to stay at home this year.
