PSV’s head coach Phillip Cocu back in Eindhoven, disappointed from the draw with Heerenveen at the weekend.
He was particularly critical of the first half. He felt his team had fallen short in defense. "If you’re going for the title, you have to pull everything out of the bag. We didn’t do that in the first half." The second half went better, but they still didn’t succeed in turning the prevalence of goal chances into goals scored.
Cocu felt the Heerenveen penalty was totally justified. "A 100 percent penalty," in the head coach’s own words. However, he added that if the referee saw a penalty for Heerenveen, he should have seen one or two for PSV too.
